Painted on aluminium foil, whose wrinkled reflective surface became part of the painting rather than something to hide.
The figure feels quiet, distant, and slightly theatrical at the same time. I liked the contrast between the soft expression and the exaggerated features — the long neck, dark eyes, and pale skin that almost dissolves into the background.
Some parts were painted carefully, others barely controlled at all. I left both in because the painting worked better with its awkwardness still visible.
